At the Atelier, I began my studies by copying two-dimensional images of drawings produced by Charles Bargue (1825-1883).  These were designed to assist beginning students by teaching them to draw objects and figures realistically and accurately from life without using a mechanical method, instead relying on their eyes and by making comparative measurements.

I learned a lot from my late professor Allan T. Marsh.   I attribute all my love for art to him.  He was very kind and generous to a poor college student. I miss his kind smile and his blue painting gown.
